We're just starting to build this area which is aimed at pupils at The Downs, Malvern College Prep - here are some links to websites you might find useful and/or fun! If there are other sites you know of that could be useful to others at the school, please give Mrs Ramsay the details and we'll add them here.
- BBC Schools site - A good general reference site with information and games covering a range of subjects and age groups: www.bbc.co.uk/schools
- Top Marks - Again covering a wide range of subjects and age groups: www.topmarks.co.uk
- Ask for Kids - A search engine designed for children: www.askforkids.com
- Lost for Words - contains a huge range of links to websites with information on teaching children to read, and information for parents of children with special educational needs: www.channel4.com/lostforwords
- Language sites - here are a few sites recommended by Madame Forbes that can be used by students at home to supplement language teaching in school:
www.languagesonline.org.uk - go into the French section. This is a great website for all levels from Reception right up to Year 8
www.bbc.co.uk/schools/primaryfrench - skate into fluent French with roller and his mates! Good for Reception to Year 5/6 and user friendly
www.frenchrevision.co.uk - go into the 'Beginners' section. It is a good site to break the monotony of exam revision. Good for Years 5-8
www.asterix.tm.fr - for the lovers of Asterix. Good for Year 8s as extension material.
